Description of the program implementation

Program studiów II stopnia na kierunku geologia daje możliwość wyboru ścieżki kształcenia w zakresie jednej spośród 3 specjalizacji: mineralogiczno-petrologiczno-geochemicznej ( MPG), geologiczno-poszukiwawczej (GP ), stratygraficzno-mikropaleontologicznej (SM). Wybór opiekuna naukowego, tematu pracy magisterskiej i kursów specjalizacyjnych odbywa się na podstawie druku deklaracji studenta, podpisanej przez opiekuna naukowego. Za zgodą z-cy dyrektora ds. dydaktycznych, studenci mogą wybrać kurs fakultatywny z katalogu kursów do wyboru dla studiów I stopnia na kierunku geologia lub kurs z innego kierunku studiów. Zajęcia w bezpośrednim kontakcie z nauczycielem prowadzone są w zakresie przekraczającym 50% sumarycznej liczby punktów ECTS, koniecznej do skończenia studiów. Stosowane metody dydaktyczne to: metody podające, np. wykład informacyjny; metody aktywizujące, np. seminarium; metody praktyczne, tj. ćwiczenia przedmiotowe, ćwiczenia laboratoryjne, ćwiczenia terenowe, metoda projektów. Podstawowe wykorzystywane środki dydaktyczne to okazy minerałów i skał, preparaty do badań mikroskopowych, mapy i kompasy geologiczne, instrumenty laboratoryjne, komputery oraz prezentacja multimedialna.
