Description of the program implementation

W toku studiów student realizuje łącznie 1000 godzin zajęć dydaktycznych, w tym 120 godzin praktyk. Aż 615 godzin stanowią zajęcia fakultatywne (ograniczonego wyboru).

Począwszy od 2. semestru studenci wybierają jedną z dwóch ścieżek specjalizacyjnych w planie studiów (tłumaczenie pisemne lub tłumaczenie audiowizualne), w ramach której – oprócz zajęć wspólnych dla wszystkich studentów kierunku – realizują zajęcia umożliwiające zdobycie pogłębionych umiejętności w zakresie tłumaczenia pisemnego lub tłumaczenia audiowizualnego.

Na II roku studenci dodatkowo wybierają zajęcia specjalizacyjne (obejmujące łącznie 60 godzin i 8 ECTS), a w ciągu całego toku studiów również trzy kursy opcyjne (łącznie 90 godzin i 9 ECTS): dwa na I roku oraz jeden na II roku.

Większość modułów nastawionych jest na stopniowy rozwój umiejętności praktycznych poprzez ćwiczenia w zakresie tłumaczenia różnych typów tekstów. Umiejętności z tłumaczenia praktycznego studenci zdobywają przede wszystkim podczas zajęć o charakterze warsztatowym, obejmujących tłumaczenie w parze języków polski–angielski jako dwóch języków aktywnych (Warsztaty tłumaczeniowe I, II, III i IV/B, a także Napisy filmowe i napisy dla niesłyszących, Lokalizacja gier i innych produktów AV) oraz tłumaczenie z języka biernego – tzw. języka "C" – na język polski (Warsztaty tłumaczeniowe I, II i III/C oraz Tłumaczenie audiowizualne z języka C). Studenci wybierają jeden spośród następujących języków "C": francuski, hiszpański, niemiecki, rosyjski, włoski.

Zajęcia praktyczne są wsparte niezbędnym przygotowaniem teoretycznym, które zapewniają moduły wykładowe, natomiast szeroka oferta praktycznych zajęć specjalizacyjnych i opcyjnych umożliwia dodatkowe pogłębienie wiedzy i umiejętności w wybranych dziedzinach tłumaczenia. Zajęcia seminaryjne przygotowują do napisania przekładoznawczej pracy magisterskiej. Program studiów objemuje także kształcenie podstawowe w zakresie tłumaczenia ustnego.

Dyrektor Instytutu/Kierownik Katedry decyduje, który z każdej pary kursów wymiennych będzie prowadzony w danym roku akademickim.

Kursy opcyjne:

W ciągu całego toku studiów student wybiera trzy kursy opcyjne (łącznie 90 godzin i 9 pkt ECTS): dwa kursy na I roku oraz jeden kurs na II roku. W danym roku akademickim oferowane są jedynie niektóre z wymienionych kursów opcyjnych.

Warsztaty tłumaczeniowe z języka C:
Warsztaty tłumaczeniowe I/C w semestrze 1, II/C w semestrze 2 oraz III/C (na ścieżce "Tłumaczenie pisemne") / Tłumaczenie audiowizualne z języka C (na ścieżce "Tłumaczenie audiowizualne") w semestrze 3 są obowiązkowe, a określenie "fakultatywny" w przypadku tych przedmiotów oznacza, że Student(ka) może wybrać zajęcia z dowolnego języka C spośród dostępnych w danym roku akademickim.
