Studia kończą się przygotowaniem pracy dyplomowej i złożeniem egzaminu dyplomowego, zgodnie z Regulaminem Studiów Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego.

The implementation of the curriculum of the international double-degree programme International Relations and Public Diplomacy is assumed by the Jagiellonian University in Krakow during the 1st and 2nd semester, with the 3rd and 4th semesters provided by the University of Siena. Students starting their studies at the University of Siena, in their second year of studies must complete the courses provided for in the programme of the Jagiellonian University. Completion of all semesters at both universities is compulsory, and those students who complete the MA receive two diplomas.

In the first year, students complete all obligatory subjects and an appropriate number of optional modules, which will allow them to obtain a minimum of 60 ECTS points per academic year. In addition, the student is required to attend a tutorial and also choose one of the foreign languages offered. The student has the right to select courses available in other fields of study (in particular, those provided by the International Security and Development Studies programme are recommended) based on the consent of the programme director. The programme director may decide not to open selected elective courses in a given academic year.
