Accessibility declaration
Jagiellonian University in Kraków declares to ensure the accessibility of its website in accordance with the Act of 4 April 2019 on Digital Accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities. The declaration on accessibility shall apply to JU Sylabus (sylabus.uj.edu.pl).

Compliance status with the Act on Digital Accessibility
The website is partially compliant with the Act of 4 April 2019 on Digital Accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities.
Non-compliance issues or exemptions:
- The website may contain graphics links without alt attributes or with incorrect alternative descriptions.
- Some sub-pages may have headers with incorrect hierarchies.
- The website may have headers that are not programmatically determined.
- The website contains sub-pages with indistinguishable titles.
- Some lists of elements in the text may not be grouped using appropriate HTML markings.
- The website may include tables constructed in an inaccessible manner.
- Descriptive content on mobile screens may be cut off.
- Some elements on the page do not meet the minimum requirements for contrast.
- The website may contain elements that are not accessible via keyboard.
- The website lacks the option to skip blocks.
- Descriptive elements that are not accessible to screen readers may be present.
- The website may not provide appropriate warnings about opening new tabs or browser windows.
- The website may contain content in a language different from the value of language attribute.
- Interactive fields with expandable content on the page may lack proper labels or instruction.
- There are HTML validation issues on the website.
Declaration preparation and digital accessibility evaluation method
The declaration was prepared on 22 November 2023 and is based on a self-assessment carried out by employees of the Accessibility Center of the Jagiellonian University.

In case of problems with website accessibility, please contact the Study Support Office (at the Centre for Academic Support), e-mail: ksztalcenie@uj.edu.pl – entity responsible for issues related to the accessibility of the website. Using the same contact details you can apply for unavailable information and complain about lack of accessibility.
Complaints and request procedure
Everyone has the right to:
- complain about lack of accessibility of the website,
- request the accessibility of the website, the mobile application or any element thereof,
- request unavailable information in alternative forms.
The request should include:
- the identity of the person making the request,
- an indication of which website or mobile application is involved,
- the way in which he or she can be contacted.
If the person requests information in an alternative form, he or she should also specify the form of that information.
The public entity should comply with the request immediately and no later than within 7 days. If it is not possible to meet this deadline, the public entity shall immediately inform when it will be possible to comply with the request, but this deadline shall not be longer than 2 months. If it is not possible to ensure accessibility, the public entity may propose an alternative way to access the information.
In case an entity refuses to comply with a request for accessibility or alternative access to information, a complaint may be made against such action. Once all appeal possibilities are used, a complaint to the Commissioner for Human Rights also applies.
