Description of the program implementation
The compulsory courses of the study programme are mainly implemented during the first two years. In the third year, students choose one of two specialisation modules: (A) advanced organic chemistry as a tool for drug discovery, (B) selected aspects of bioanalysis. During their final semester of study, they perform research for their undergraduate thesis.
Interested students have the opportunity to participate in additional classes preparing to obtain a license to teach chemistry.
Graduation
- A prerequisite for graduation is the successful completion of all courses, the submission of a diploma thesis, and a satisfactory grade in both the thesis and the written diploma examination.
- The diploma dissertation is an independent study of a specific scientific issue presenting the student's general knowledge and skills related to a given field of study, level and profile of education as well as his/her independent analysis and reasoning skills.
- The diploma thesis shall be submitted in a written form.

In the second and third year, the student must complete subjects in the field of humanities and/or social sciences with a total value of 4 ECTS, including at least 2 ECTS in the second year. A possible surplus of points obtained in the second year of studies within the optional subjects from the group of humanities and social sciences courses is credited towards the third year of studies.
