Description of the program implementation

Program studiów na kierunku dziennikarstwo i komunikacja społeczna oferuje zarówno szeroką gamę przedmiotów ogólnoakademickich, teoretycznych, jak i specjalistycznych oraz praktycznych. Te ostatnie stanowią najbardziej rozbudowaną ofertę, za ich realizację student otrzymuje 93 punkty ECTS. W trakcie dwóch pierwszych lat studiów zdecydowana większość przedmiotów ma charakter obowiązkowy. Natomiast na trzecim roku studiów, w pierwszym i drugim semestrze, student realizuje jedną z czterech ścieżek: Dziennikarstwo; Reklama i PR; Nowe media; Komunikacja polityczna. Podstawą do kolejności wyboru ścieżki (oraz seminarium dyplomowego) jest lista rankingowa (średnia ocen ze studiów + ocena z praktyki) tworzona po drugim roku studiów. W ramach wskazanej ścieżki student zobowiązany jest do zaliczenia wszystkich oferowanych w jej ramach przedmiotów. W obu semestrach trzeciego roku oferowane są do wyboru także kursy kierunkowe – każdy student ma obowiązek zrealizowania sześciu spośród ośmiu wykładów w ciągu roku.

Graduation

Warunkiem przystąpienia do egzaminu dyplomowego jest pozytywna ocena pracy dyplomowej.

Praca dyplomowa jest samodzielnym opracowaniem określonego zagadnienia naukowego lub dokonaniem profesjonalnym prezentującym ogólną wiedzę i umiejętności studenta związane z kierunkiem studiów, poziomem i profilem kształcenia oraz umiejętności samodzielnego analizowania i wnioskowania.

Pracę dyplomową może stanowić w szczególności praca pisemna, lub praca projektowa z zakresu komunikacji społecznej lub/i technologii komunikowania.

Język obcy I - egzamin po II roku studiów na poziomie B2; Język obcy II - poziom dowolny. Praktyka zawodowa obejmuje przedmioty praktyczne/warsztatowe realizowane przez studentów na pierwszym i drugim roku studiów, oznaczone w planie studiów jako Praktyka (zaliczenie tej części praktyki wymaga uzyskania pozytywnej oceny z każdego przedmiotu) oraz praktykę zawodową realizowaną w dowolnej instytucji medialnej, reklamowej, PR lub innej instytucji okołomedialnej. Miejsce odbywania praktyki wybiera student, kierując się swoimi wcześniejszymi doświadczeniami, zainteresowaniami naukowymi oraz zawodowymi, samodzielnie lub korzystając z pomocy opiekuna praktyk. Zaliczenie praktyki zawodowej następuje po drugim roku studiów w oparciu o przedstawioną umowę oraz dokumentację z jej przebiegu (książeczka praktyk). Praktyka realizowana jest w okresie wolnym od zajęć lub - za zgodą dyrektora ds. dydaktycznych - w czasie roku akademickiego. W drugim semestrze pierwszego roku student wybiera jeden z trzech przedmiotów: Gatunki dziennikarskie w mediach - print/TV/nowe media (każdy za 3 ECTS). Na drugim roku, w drugim semestrze student wybiera dwa spośród sześciu oferowanych kursów monograficznych, każdy za 2 ECTS (w sumie 4 ECTS). W obu semestrach trzeciego roku każdy student wybiera trzy spośród czterech wykładów, co oznacza, że w ciągu dwóch semestrów ma obowiązek zaliczyć sześć spośród ośmiu oferowanych wykładów (kierunkowych), każdy za 3 ECTS (w sumie 18 ECTS). Po drugim roku tworzona jest lista rankingowa studentów (średnia ocen z dwóch lat studiów), która jest podstawą do kolejności wyboru ścieżki (i seminarium dyplomowego). Każdy student zobowiązany jest do zaliczenia w ciągu dwóch semestrów trzeciego roku wszystkich modułów obowiązkowych w ramach wskazanej ścieżki. Jako przedmioty do wyboru traktowane są wszystkie kursy w obrębie realizowanej ścieżki (w sumie 30 ECTS, po 15 ECTS w każdym semestrze).
