Description of the program implementation
Mandatory courses are mainly completed during the first and second years of study. In addition to compulsory subjects, students also take elective courses. In the third year of study, students can choose from three specialization modules: Environmental Chemistry, Materials Technology, and Energy. Each student is required to select one module. Elective courses outside of the specialization modules are also available in the third year. Throughout the course of the program, as part of the mandatory curriculum, students are required to complete courses in the humanities and/or social sciences for a total of 3 ECTS credits (Elements of Teamwork Organization and Presentation Techniques – 2 ECTS, and Intellectual Property Protection I – 1 ECTS). Additionally, in the first year of study, as part of elective courses, students must complete courses in the humanities and/or social sciences amounting to 2 ECTS credits, including a course in Economics and Entrepreneurship.
Graduation
- A prerequisite for graduation is the successful completion of all courses, the submission of a diploma thesis, and a satisfactory grade in both the thesis and the written diploma examination.
- The diploma dissertation is an independent study of a specific scientific issue presenting the student's general knowledge and skills related to a given field of study, level and profile of education as well as his/her independent analysis and reasoning skills.
- The diploma thesis shall be submitted in a written form.
