Description of the program implementation
The programme of study comprises three years of education (six semesters) and consists of obligatory and elective courses, as well as tutoring. Students are required to obtain the prescribed number of ECTS credits in each academic year in accordance with the rules set out in the programme of study.
Year 1
In the first year, students complete obligatory courses with a total value of 74 ECTS, in accordance with the study plan. The curriculum includes obligatory courses as well as a foreign language course. Detailed rules governing the completion of the language course are specified in the programme of study. In addition, students participate in an individual tutorial conducted under the supervision of a selected academic supervisor. The tutorial has a developmental character and enables students to deepen their knowledge in computer science or mathematics. The tutorial is conducted continuously over five semesters.
Year 2
In the second year, students complete obligatory courses, continue the individual tutorial, and take elective courses in order to obtain a total of 60 ECTS credits in the academic year. Students may also complete a course in the humanities or social sciences with a value of 5 ECTS. The choice of the year in which this course is taken (second or third year) is at the student’s discretion.
Year 3
In the third year, students continue to complete elective courses and the individual tutorial in order to obtain a total of 60 ECTS credits. In this year, students are also required to undertake a study period of at least one semester abroad, subject to the availability of places within existing international student exchange programmes. In justified cases, upon the student’s request and following a positive opinion from the academic supervisor, the programme director may grant an exemption from this requirement. If the student has not previously completed a course in the humanities or social sciences, they are required to select and complete such a course in the third year.
The delivery of obligatory courses in English ensures the achievement of the learning outcome P6S_UK at the B2 level of language proficiency.
Graduation
Completion of all courses specified in the study plan, as well as any additional courses undertaken; and obtaining a passing grade on the Bachelor’s examination.
