In the first year of second-cycle (Master’s) studies, the student is required to complete all compulsory courses (a total of 21 ECTS credits in the first year and 14 ECTS credits in the second year), as well as an appropriate number of elective courses allowing the student to obtain a minimum of 60 ECTS credits per academic year. Additionally, the student is required to complete a tutorial and should also choose courses in one of the foreign languages offered.
As part of the UJ–UNISTRAPG pathway, the student is required, in both the first and second semesters, to choose one course from the following group: International Relations in Latin America; International Relations in Africa; American Foreign and Security Policy after the Cold War; International Relations in the Asia-Pacific; Comparative International Politics in Central and Eastern Europe; Europe and the World.
Furthermore, in both the first and second semesters, the student is required to choose one course from the following group: Contemporary European Political Thinkers; International Financial Markets; Economic Diplomacy; Foreign Policy Analysis; Intelligence Analysis; International Negotiations: Theory and Practice; Strategic and International Management; International Business and Marketing.
Moreover, in both the first and second semesters, the student is required to choose two courses from the following group: Challenges of Biopolitics and New Technologies; New Political Ideas in the 21st Century; Foreign Language (chosen from German, French, Russian, Polish, or Spanish).
In addition, the student must choose either International Law or Current Developments in Diplomatic and Consular Law and must complete International Organizations – Theory and Practice. The student has the right to choose other courses from the offer of different degree programmes (in particular from the International Security and Development Studies programme), subject to the approval of the programme coordinator.
