Opis realizacji programu

Program jest realizowany w ramach sześciu semestrów. Pierwsze trzy semestry obejmują kluczowe przedmioty z zakresu stosunków międzynarodowych oraz przedmioty do wyboru i są realizowane przez wszystkich studentów. Kolejne trzy semestry obejmują zajęcia prowadzone w ramach wybranych przez studentów specjalizacji. Oferowane specjalizacje to International Security oraz Area Studies. Specjalizacja Area Studies jest realizowana w ramach pięicu modułów, spośród których studenci wybierają dwa: 1. Europe, 2. The Americas, 3. Russia and Its Neighbourghood, 4. Middle East and North Africa, 5. Asia-Pacific/East and South Asia. Studenci International Security część swojego programu realizaują wybierając przedmioty realizowane w formie fakultatywnej. Przedmoty te wybierane są spośród modułów Area Studies oferowanych w danym roku studiów lub z pozostałych grup przedmiotów fakultatywnych. Każy student realizuje jeden wybrany język obcy, Dissertation Seminar oraz Other Academic Activities.

Ukończenie studiów

Warunkiem ukończenia studiów jest zaliczenie wszystkich przedmiotów obowiązkowych i fakultatywnych wymaganych w programie studiów oraz napisanie i złożenie pracy dyplomowej, a także zdanie egzaminu dyplomowego obejmującego problematykę pracy dyplomowej oraz wiedzę z zakresu wybranej specjalizacji.

Elective courses in the 2nd semester

During the 3rd semester of studies each student has to realize and pass all obligatory courses and choose 1 elective course from the list of Elective courses in the 3rd semester.
Moreover, each student has to choose one Foreign Language and realize it for 3 following semesters (4 ECTS, 60 hours in each of the 3 following semesters).
Each student has to realize Physical Education (30 hours during the 3rd semester and 30 hours during the 4th semester).

International Security

During the 5th semester each student has to realize the chosen specialization: INTERNATIONAL SECURITY or AREA STUDIES (2 modules).
They continue the chosen Foreign Language.
Each student has to choose a supervisor of the diploma dissertation as well as the Dissertation Seminar group.

International Security

During the 6th semester each student has to realize the chosen specialization: INTERNATIONAL SECURITY or AREA STUDIES (2 modules).
Other Academic Activity (OAA) – each student during the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th semester has to take part in a various number of academic activities  (guest lectures, discussion seminars, workshops delivered by visiting professors or other guests – offered by the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, internships in public or private sector, NGOs, scientific conferences, research groups, publishing a scientific book or an article, summer school); each activity has to be confirmed by the OAA Supervisor; number of hours, credit and ECTS are recognized after the 6th semester.
Each student continue Dissertation Seminar with chosen supervisor.
