Description of the program implementation

Program studiów Bioinformatyka (pierwszego stopnia) obejmuje: (1) przedmioty obowiązkowe (122 ECTS), (2) fakultatywne przedmioty kierunkowe (37 ECTS), (3) pracownie specjalizacyjną (120h, 8 ECTS) i praktikum pisania pracy dyplomowej (2 ECTS), (4) praktyki zawodowe (3 ECTS) oraz (5) lektorat języka angielskiego (student wybiera poziom lektoratu, łącznie 8 ECTS).Grupę kursów obowiązkowych tworzą kursy z różnych działów matematyki i informatyki, kursy budujące solidne podstawy wiedzy z nauk przyrodniczych (chemia, fizyka, biologia) oraz kursy niezbędne dla przyszłego bioinformatyka analizującego dane biologiczne generowane w różnych dziedzinach nauk o życiu. Grupę tę uzupełniają zajęcia z WF oraz kursy z dziedziny nauk społecznych ("Wstęp do filozofii" (3 ECTS) oraz "Bioetyka dla bioinformatyków" (2 ECTS)). Przedmioty kierunkowe są wybierane przez studentów od 4 semestru nauki.Integralną częścią programu studiów są sylabusy poszczególnych kursów. Szczególnie istotne informacje dotyczące kursów podane są w części Wymagania wstępne i dodatkowe informacje.Uwieńczeniem studiów jest przygotowanie pisemnej pracy licencjackiej dokumentującej wyniki badań z zakresu szeroko rozumianej bioinformatyki. Nad właściwym doborem tematyki prac licencjackich czuwa oprócz promotora pracy, Rada Programowa kierunku Bioinformatyka (pierwszego stopnia). Ostatnim akcentem w procesie kształcenia licencjatów z bioinformatyki jest pisemny egzamin dyplomowy, w którym pytania testowe zostały sformułowane z uwzględnieniem efektów kształcenia przypisanych kursom obligatoryjnie realizowanym przez studenta w toku studiów.

Graduation

Oprócz wymagań opisanych regulaminem studiów UJ, poniżej podano wyjaśnienia wybranych kryteriów rozpatrywanych przy podejmowaniu decyzji o pomyślnym ukończeniu studiów Bioinformatyka (pierwszego stopnia):(1) złożenie pozytywnie ocenionej pracy dyplomowej,(2) pozytywny wynik pisemnego egzaminu dyplomowego,(3) zaliczenie przedmiotów obowiązkowych i fakultatywnych, którym łącznie odpowiada co najmniej 180 ECTS.

W toku studiów student zobowiązany jest do wyboru kierunkowych kursów fakultatywnych w semestrach 4, 5 i 6 obejmujących łącznie co najmniej 37 ECTS. Student wybiera kursy fakultatywne z grup K1 (min. 8 ECTS), K2 (min. 15 ECTS) i K3 (min. 14 ECTS) jednak może zwrócić się do Prodziekana z prośbą o zaliczenie w ramach kierunkowych kursów fakultatywnych kursów spoza tych grup w liczbie nieprzekraczającej 6 ECTS. Kursy wybierane w ten sposób przez studenta powinny realizować efekty uczenia się właściwe dla realizowanego programu studiów. Odpowiednio uzasadniony wybór takich kursów opiniuje Kierownik studiów.
